Welcome to my review of PPV Playbook, it’s a site put together by David Ford. I’m going to be very honest in my review of the site and let’s dive right in. The way my reviews work is I keep it simple. I’ll tell you what I like and what I don’t like about the site. That’s it. I’m not going to lie to you. I’m not going to sugar coat things like all other affiliate “review” sites do. I’m going to tell it like it is. My PPV Playbook review is designed to give you real value before you join. What I Like About PPV Playbook
There are four main aspects of PPV Playbook that I like. First I like that they put together an ebook first, then a forums section later. The ebook can be bought on clickbank and it leads right into the forum. That’s a smart idea as it covers all the basics of PPV marketing, then you can go to the forums and ask questions. While forums like this are nothing new, it’s a good flow, good job on that. Second I like how their case studies. It’s interesting to see which niches they’re attacking and how they’re doing it. More on this later though. Third, I like how David is active on the forums. That’s a good thing. Any site owner who is actually putting in the time in his own site is ok in my books. Nothing is worse then joining a paid private forum and having the owner never show up or show up once in a long while. Meantime their sales page has the balls to promise one on one support from the owners. So for that I’m glad PPV playbook didn’t take that route. Finally, the fourth thing I like about the site is the partnership with affportal. That’s a good idea. Tools help speed up the process for creating campaigns and oding research. While the affportal tools are not mind blowing and any amateur programmer could easily do them, at least they’re there. So that’s another good point for the site.
What I Don’t Like About PPV Playbook
I told you I’d give you the good and the bad. So here’s a couple things I don’t like about the site. First is the case studies. I know I put them as a positive, but I’m also putting htem as negative. The reason is they’re a bit too shallow. A couple paragraphs of text then a screenshot of 2 sales is not a good case study. So good on them for doing them, but beef them up! Second I really do not like how David has decided to become a jack of all trades, master of none. He’s trying to turn the forums into a site the shows all traffic sources outside of PPV and I think that’s a big negative. Stick with what you know, don’t pretend to be a master at others sources. Just as I don’t go to the Walmart plumbing aisle to ask for a plumber to fix my toilet, I don’t want all the other traffic sources in that forum, it’s a distraction and I think it weakens the forums. Too many of these private forums are doing this and it’s not good. There’s no way the owners know every single traffic source and there’s no way they should be distracting members with other traffic sources. Lastly, and this is just me, the term “PPV” is not correct. In the industry the correct term is “CPV”, which stands for cost per view. “PPV” was a term made up by a marketer to align with a prior product of his, it’s not the right term for the traffic source. PPV to me means those pay per view cable fight nights.

Conclusion
Overall the site is good. I like a lot about it and there’s a couple things I don’t like. One thing I didn’t mention is the price. They’re charging $67 per month and I think that is a bit on the high side. Of course you can say that if you’re making money doing what they’re showing you, then it’s certainly worth it, but there are cheaper and just as good, if not better alternatives out there. If they take my advice and beef up the case studies, get rid of the other traffic sources and just focus on what they’re best at, it would be an even better site.
